Homemade pizza dough – quick and easy

Preparation:

In a small bowl, mix the lukewarm water with the sugar. Sprinkle the dry yeast over the water and let sit for about 5 to 10 minutes, until the mixture is bubbling.
In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.
Start mixing the ingredients with a wooden spoon or spatula until the dough starts to come together.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Add a little more flour if the dough is too sticky.
Form the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth or plastic wrap and let the dough sit in a warm place for about 1 to 2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
Once the dough has risen, preheat your oven to the highest temperature possible (usually around 220-250°C).
Turn the dough slightly to degas it, then place it on a floured surface. Stretch it with your hands or use a rolling pin to give it the desired shape.
Transfer the stretched dough to a floured baking sheet or pizza stone.
Add your favorite pizza toppings: tomato sauce, cheese, vegetables, meats, etc.
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crisp and the cheese is bubbling and melted.
Take the pizza out of the oven, let it cool a little, cut it and enjoy!
Remember that this is a basic recipe and you can customize it to your preferences by adding herbs, spices or other ingredients to the dough. Enjoy your food!
